Name: Jason Todd
Canon: DC Comics (not N52)
Age: 20-22
(Brief) Canon Description:
We kill the Batman.
Gotham city, for reference
Personality/Background: Jason's wiki for reference.
Jason's first encounter with Batman was as a rough-and-tumble delinquent pilfering the Batmobile's tires. Afterward, there was a failed all-boys' school attempt, then Jason became Batman's second Robin after Dick Grayson. Unfortunately, even as Robin, Jason struggled with impulsiveness, anger, and vengeance. Not long into the Robin run, Jason was held hostage by the Joker in an effort to torment Batman. Under the Joker's "care," Jason was tortured extensively before dying in an explosion set up by the Joker. Jason was found by Batman and subsequently buried. Super comic time altering happens, and Jason Todd is resurrected in his grave. The following years are spent bitterly resenting the fact he was not avenged through the murder of Joker, that he was replaced by Tim Drake as Robin, and that he is plagued by memories of his torture.
At his core, Jason is smart, sarcastic, and volatile. He is easy to anger and still impulsive, firmly set in the belief he is doing the right thing by killing criminals. Beneath his don't-care exterior, he's broken in spirit and unwilling to mend. It's easier for him to be bitter and angry than to admit he cares.
Moral Alignment: Jason is a chaotic neutral, anti-hero kind of character. He vehemently defends the innocent, but when it comes to criminals or "evil" people, Jason does not keep his finger off the trigger. He typically will follow through with an alliance if his own interests co-align with the interests of others.
