It shouldn't be a surprise that not every group's experience has been uniform... but that one does seem to be one that reoccurs more consistently. Unfortunately, if the trend continues, we should expect this to happen every week. One or two groups, each consisting of anywhere from three to five participants.
[ you can just say nerd its ok he wont be offended ]
That, at least, is also common. Of course, no amount of first aid or healing can fully undo the pain and trauma the participants experienced... but it's better than nothing.
Honestly? I'd rather have the broken bones and stabbing than the latter, but that's just me. We really shouldn't rely so heavily on the staff for things like that. They're not helping us because they care, they're helping us because they've got a game to keep running.
They probably are. Doesn't change the fact that if they don't want to breach their own contract, they're here to keep things running, not to make friends.
The JRPG really is shining through here. Jason would look at the camera if he had it in him right now. There are two kinds of people with recovering depression.]
I should have expected you to talk like that when your face looks so baby. Not sure what you're looking to change exactly. We came here to be dancing mice in an electric cage. It'll end in about eight weeks probably, and you'll just have to hope you're on the right side.
You think there's more just because you found a spooky laundry chute?
[ he doesn't let jason's comments faze him, simply keeping his mouth drawn into a tight line. ]
Let me ask you one thing. Does the life of your hostage outweigh those of all the people that you've met here, and the people whose lives depend on their survival, too?
I've already played this game with Clementine in one of the horror rooms in the hallway. I'd really let the trolley run over people I didn't know if it meant the person I wanted to save got to live.
[He shrugs a shoulder.]
I don't know a single person here, so why is any of that my problem?

[He glances over finally.]
Decided against it after about seven people came back from unexpectedly wild adventures.

I noticed earlier—Thursday night excursion returns are new to you?
no subject
Yeah. They are.

Great. [It doesn't seem like it bothers him so much as it's really annoying.] As if the rest of everything isn't bad enough, sure.
Well, apparently the staff can put a band-aid on it, so maybe we don't have to worry.
[Does he believe this? Clearly, no.]

We don't know their circumstances. They could also be "participants" in a different way.

Just ask them. They'll tell you the same thing.

...Of course, I could be biased, as I'm speaking from my own round's experience.
[ here's lookin at you luke ]

Why are you so interested in thinking they need to be saved? You signed a contract on your own, didn't you? Maybe they did too.
no subject
I did, and I understood the stakes.
But that doesn't mean I'm going to give up on everyone else, either. I believe that if we can defy the odds and change fate once, we can do it again.

Then I guess we can't see eye to eye on this.
[ his tone isn't cold, but it's not exactly friendly anymore, either. ]

I guess not. You try to save everyone like you're a hero, and you're going to lose the one person they took from you.
