[Tiredly:] She was injured, but apparently every time she sighs, monsters appear. So you can guess what happened.

I guess monsters appeared. Did they fuck you up worse? [how did you get out of the pit...]

Hotel would've been too easy an answer. [ he agrees! and, also: ] How did you guys manage to get out?

Just one monster. [He sounds tired.] It was a big one. Looked like—a dinosaur? A giant lizard with spikes. Started charging something up while we grabbed the girl and ran.

Got to a dead end. There were two doors. The hotel, and… a mansion with Harrow and Hua Cheng. I gave the girl to Yuri and told them to go to the hotel, and I went through the other, but he followed me.

The charging thing? Beam of something got us both in the back as we went through.

Harrow said her and Hua Cheng were brother and sister hunting monsters. [she supplies, wrinkling her nose.] ... I recognized that car, by the way.

[ hmm. that explains the burn. his hands are both busy but he looks over jason's back with a frown. but. ]

They were being strangled by some kind of wraith when we broke through the mirror, but she vanished.

[He raises a brow. Parroting:]

[she says this flatly.] It was the wrong color, but a guy from the first round of murdering at the station had one of those. He got killed in it.

[Maybe she did hallucinate it... He sort of hits Cloud very pathetically on the chest with the back of his hand, like a scold that he can't even bring himself to do.]

You mean the type? An impala? The damn thing is what busted through the mansion and hit all four of us. Some woman wearing white was driving. She kept yelling about--wait, let me back up. Where was I?

We could hear the host, or narrator, or whatever talking to the skeleton audience about our contract for more seasons. Harrow found a note with a list of ideas for each one from twenty-eight on. The bottom said, "End the show to go home," or something. So we decided to start doing what they didn't want to see to get them to leave. The audience.

That's when the bitch in white drove in and hit us.

Yes, the type. The monster hunting bullshit and the car just made me think of the first round of the station, is all.

[huffs. anyway, she listens to the rest of jason's explanation.]

... End the show to go home. [she says, thoughtfully. she also did this in the curfew thread later but when he says the car hit them she rests her head on jason's chest to listen to him breathe again for a second. no crackles >:(]

[ season 28 of supernatural made me scream. anyway, clouds frowning in concern again but Lup's got it, so. It's fine. maybe end the show means something or maybe not, but he decides to think about it later ]

She got out of the car herself. [Said in the "let me make myself clear" way.] She spent the whole time yelling at us about how she pays our paycheck, and she can't lose her views and her audience.

She wanted us to get our acts together. You know, typical Hollywood bullshit. [Wait, do they know Hollywood? He sighs.] Movie and acting stuff.

I fell beside the car because I rolled up over it, so I don't think she could see me. So I snuck into the car, cranked it up, and then ran her over. Most of the audience was leaving by then. She wasn't dead, of course. We just had to book it.

There were cameras set up for everything, but the "worker" watching was a shadow, not the staff. [ he's the they from security. it's him. ] Thought it was like... an extension of the Nightman, maybe.

The staff did tell me to be sure the Nightman was "always watching," so yeah, I think the shadows are... like... an extension of him probably.

[a beat.] Oh. Did you see the notes that belong to Aquarius?
