[WELL OKAY, lup makes a startled noise when he pulls them through, but she is not strong enough to dig her heels in to stop them, so - beach it is. a pause, and then:]

[The beach is surprisingly warm and sunny considering the atrocities of this place were so turbo compared to a lot of others. And considering it was actually purgatory. There's birds and a stretch of beach with soft sand, and an blue ocean where the horizon is endless.
Jason stands there a moment, turning his hand to glance around the beach with a sort of conflicted familiarity. It's been a while since he's woken up on this shore. Lup might not let go of him which is fine, but he does try to slip away as he slowly takes a few steps forward across the beach away from the ocean.

she does not let go of him, and she does not let go of cloud, either, so jason drags them towards the beach. she's frowning a little, and she looks over her shoulder at cloud in a sort of worried way, but. for now she doesn't say anything, she just stands on the beach, holding jason's hand tightly.
he can zone out for about a minute before she will say something.]
He might be sort of zoning out, but he's still walking at least. Slowly, not rushing them. He's going up the beach toward the tree line where there is a clearing that leads to the mansion in the distance. He finally speaks:]

[Which is why they were like oh, being hunted for sport? Sounds legit. Right.]
[she follows easily enough, stroking jason's hand with her thumb as they go. they are still daisychaining unless cloud is closer now, which in that case it's really just jason leading them around like that one carly rae jepsen video. it is really pretty here, despite everything she knows about the place.]
I don't know anybody who would. [she says, staring out over the water.] ... You didn't find out until the end, right?
[ this is a very stupid daisy chain. he's peering around them to look at the mansion in the distance, frowning. he's still not sure why they're here if it is making jason disassociate so much. he's being a quiet daisy as he waits for jason to answer that one, wondering ]
[He's leading them along the path to the mansion. It's old and fancy. It's kind of like Wayne Manor in aesthetics, but a little more pretentious than even that. If the whole murder hunt for sport was ignored, it seems like it'd be a nice resort of some kind, based on how the beach looked.
Though things do get... a bit creepier as they go? The vibe of it. Enigmatic, unsettling. Because it's empty, it's quiet here except for a few birds and the distant sounds of the jungle.]
Didn't know until I died the fourth night. No one knew unless they died, or at the very end when the Generals went out to kill who was left and told them.
[They have arrived! Up close, the mansion really is more pretentious than ever. There is so much carved, artistic stone.]

Up the staircase to the front! Enjoy. It's kind of interesting, aside from the distasteful air of spooky. Before going in, he pauses to look around the balcony, then out over the overgrowth.]
The jungle is out there with the ruins. And a sinkhole. This is all we had, whatever was here. Nothing changed.
she joins jason in looking at the overgrowth, tugging cloud closer. she's a little unsettled, but she feels better when they're both close to her. not for her sake, for theirs.
and then:] This must have felt like a dang marathon, huh. After just being here for a week.
[ this is not the time to be snarky, but he has to ask. cloud's observing the mansion doors while they look around, peering pensively. why are all mansions terrible. ]
[To Lup. He gets Cloud is being sassy, and it actually does make him sort of huff a kind of laughter. He's SO MAD Cloud always makes him laugh by being a dry asshole.
But he answers sincerely anyway. Shut up. Being on the island is making him feel weird. He didn't expect to see it here, honestly.]
The hole was where the "dead" were. I don't think the living could reach us necessarily, but... we were down there. Later on, a few of the swords started throwing bodies in it to hide them. They'd land down there with us when it happened.
