[Here he comes down the hallway, being hella nosy. He isn't trying to go into people's rooms, but he's snooping at the pictures on the doors.
He's not in the suit anymore either, he's in this edgy getup. There are also two gun holsters on the legs, and there is a single gun in one of them...?
[he gives him a wave! it's a little awkward, because he's currently holding a small dragon in his arms, but it's there nonetheless. he's glancing at the gun for a few seconds, but he doesn't comment on it.]
[Rupert truly has to deal with so much of Jason's bullshit, PLEASE FREE RUPERT.
Jason is pacing the courtyard back and forth, wearing the ground out! He has one hand balled up and cradled near his stomach. If Rupert looks slightly to the side at the statues Jason is pacing in front of, he will see that one
[here they are in the library, aka a new home to both of them.
jason might notice someone wandering down an aisle with a stack of books that is far larger than anyone, let alone someone with currently impaired vision, should be holding. it might be difficult to see exactly who it is since the stack is high enough to hide most of their face. he'll be able to see his hair and the fact that his skin seems to be glowing, giving off a warm, gently pulsing light.
either way, this is maybe a disaster waiting to happen, but it's fine.]
He closes the book in his hand and watches for a moment or two. Then he moves over to stand in the way of where Rupert is headed. He can't see much of Rupert around the books, so he figures Rupert can't see much of him either regardless of what he currently looks like now.
[Rupert gets an answer! The door opens; Jason is still a fox. He doesn't have any of his usual stuff he prowls around in on, just a red v-neck shirt and pants. He's even barefoot.
He props his right arm on the door frame; his fingers are holding his place in a book titled The Chrysalids.]
Well, well. Being visited by royalty. I'm either going to be accused of high treason, or knighted.
When Jason spots him out and about, he nods at Rupert with his chin like he usually does, and then he starts wandering over to visit. He seems a bit worse for wear, though? Kind of tired.
But it is during the day, so maybe it's just his sleep schedule in general.
Except, a few feet before he gets to Rupert, the stardust starts raining down, and Jason's head snaps up too quickly for him to not realize what's going on.] --Shit! [Oh nooooo, stardust.
Unfortunately, Rupert gets bombarded with this memory.]
unsurprisingly, it's the physical pain that hits him first; he's been hurt before, but nothing like that, nothing like the product of hours of torture. even before the memory is half over, he's bringing his hand to his mouth instinctively, but it's the terror that comes in those last few moments that really stick with him. jason has mentioned before that he died young, but - he didn't imagine anything at all like this.
there's concern in his expression as it ends, but more than, there's horror.]
[POOR RUPERT. Jason does not answer the door ever again.
No, he will open the door. He's clean now! Thank God. Because he was not before. He seems kind of tired and a bit subdued, actually, and he pauses for a second,
[He has a few toys, and he's trying to keep several of the pups entertained. He is... a dog man, through and through. The dogs are fucking weird, but it's okay.
He sort of chuckling as he slings another toy, but turns to look at Rupert and Porridge.]
[He is chilling in one of the chairs in fresh clothes! But he's sitting at the edge rather than leaning back. He has a book, but he lowers it when Rupert comes wandering in.]
anyways, he looks excited when he sees jason, but he pauses entirely in place once he realizes who he's holding before he rushes towards the both of them, a stupidly broad grin on his face as he holds his arms out. it's like one of those videos of a dog owner reuniting with their pet after they accidentally got sent to the pound. disgusting.]
